Horn congratulates 2019 Governor’s Fitness Awards finalists

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Ken Horn on Thursday applauded Stevens Worldwide Van Lines of Saginaw and Carlos Orosco of Zilwaukee for being selected as finalists for the 2019 Governor’s Fitness Awards.

“Individuals and businesses recognized today have made a conscious effort toward healthier lifestyles,” said Horn, R-Frankenmuth. “I’m so proud of Carlos. He set active goals and reached them through proper nutrition, discipline, fitness and constantly striving to do better. I am also happy to have Stevens Worldwide Van Lines in my district. As a company, they took the extra step, spent the extra dollars and created a healthier workplace.”

The Michigan Fitness Foundation and the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports sponsor the annual Governor’s Fitness Awards to honor individuals, organizations and communities that inspire health, wellness and active living. The winners of all the Governor’s Fitness Awards will be announced at a Gala Celebration tonight, April 25, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the MGM Grand Detroit.
