Horn recognized as Michigan Manufacturers Association’s Legislator of the Year

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Manufacturers Association recently honored state Sen. Ken Horn as the association’s 2022 Legislator of the Year.

“Manufacturing remains the backbone of our economy. It put Michigan on the map and provides jobs for thousands of our hardest working residents,” said Horn, R-Frankenmuth. “My top priorities have always been keeping jobs here in Michigan and growing our economy, and the Michigan Manufacturing Association has been a strong partner throughout my time in Lansing.

“I’m pleased to receive this honor. Manufacturing has played a critical role in our state’s history, and I firmly believe it will prove to be just as important to Michigan’s future as well.”

Horn was presented with the award for his commitment to pro-job and pro-skilled trades efforts as a legislator. The senator serves as the chair of the Senate’s Small Business and Economic Development Committee and has sponsored or worked on a number of policies aimed at helping grow the state’s economy, train Michigan workers, and solidify Michigan as a leader in manufacturing.

Horn was recognized by MMA representatives and other state and local leaders during the association’s legislative reception on Sept. 14.
