Horn welcomes Saginaw Township veteran to state Capitol

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Ken Horn on Thursday welcomed Petty Officer Second Class Brett Holt to the Michigan Capitol to participate in the Senate’s 27th Annual Memorial Day Service.

Holt, of Saginaw Township, served in the U.S. Navy from 1983-1994. During his time in the Navy, Holt served onboard the aircraft carriers USS America and USS George Washington.

His service with the Navy awarded him eligibility into the American Legion Department of Michigan, which he joined in 1999. Holt also previously served as commander for the American Legion, Department of Michigan.
